Information Literacy Skills and Training

Faculty Librarians endeavour to offer support to all Students and Academic Staff in their learning, teaching & research requirements respectively. The GSU Library staff offers the following guidance and training:

  • Overview of Library Resources
  • Understanding Information and Digital Literacy
  • Developing a Search Strategy
  • Evaluating Information Sources
  • Citation and Referencing
  • Effective Literature searching using both print and electronic resources
  • Electronic referencing using Mendeley (www.mendeley.com)

Sessions are conducted to equip and develop all users with the necessary lifelong learning information and digital skills required to navigate all library spaces and resources.
